| Cyclops, Western Australia |
|
Cyclops is whispered as one of the most dangerous waves in the world for some other reasons as well. This gnarly wave ranks on the top in terms of fast, powerful and hollow wave. That’s the reason why it is quite the least surfed wave that is worth to be mentioned here. Even veteran surfers tend to settle on body-boards because the way it breaks against the shallow rocks is really horrifying when one thinks of surfing there. If one blows such a monster wave off the Cyclops, he is likely to sponge down at once onto the dry rocks. Most of all, the evil thing that would happen is far-off, around six hours distance, nearest medical facilities he will have to travel to in case of any misfortune. It is really hard to predict the wave and when these massive swells tip over, they literally blast onto the jagged coral reef. It’s not easy to board the monster there, even if you find the way on, it is possibly going to crash followed by a brutal smash by the hollow and deadly reef below. The outsized rocks and in the sticks locality make Cyclops’ more wicked waves and so also the surf spot. Being such a dangerous wave, the North Shore’s veteran - Ken Bradshaw had refused to embark upon the Cyclops when he once visited the wave with the celebrated Billabong Odyssey team. |

They say if you have it, then you ought to flaunt it. So for all your surfing champions who are looking not only for the big waves but also for the competitions, then here is a list for you to ponder on when you sit on your board waiting to catch a wave.
